DECONSTRUCTED BURGER BOWL
Here we are with another banger, the infamous Deconstructed Burger Bowl. Infamous in our household, anyway, and soon to be a favorite in yours. This recipe always has us feeling satiated and completely satisfied in each of our most treasured areas - mind, body, & soul.
Serves 2 Cowboys
Ingredients you’ll need:
2 to 3 sweet potatoes (choose your fav)
1 lb Organic ground turkey
Bread & butter pickles (specifically, the Sonoma Brinery fresh bread & butter pickles; the best of the best)
Whole avocado
Arugula
Mustard
Black sesame seeds
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & peppa to taste
Supplies you’ll need:
Baking sheet
Silicone baking sheet or parchment paper
Large mixing bowl
Ceramic sauté pan (our is from Caraway)
Serving bowl
Now, let’s get cookin’:
Pre-heat oven to 500°F (we like to be quick in the kitchen, so we pump that baby up high)
Cut sweet potatoes into desired fry shape, then toss into your large mixing bowl with a tbsp of olive oil and a dash of salt & peppa ~ now mix mix mix
Place sweet potatoes on your lined baking sheet, and place in the oven once pre-heated; set timer for 12 mins
After your 12 min timer has gone off, flip the fries & set timer for another 12 mins ~ now, let’s start on the meat
To prepare the ground turkey, drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil in your sauté pan over medium heat until it warms, then place ground turkey overtop (season to your liking)
Keep an eye on both the fries and ground turkey as they cook while you assemble the rest of your bowl (why not be productive while things are cookin, right?)
Place place a bed of arugula in your bowl, while the remaining ingredients (pickles, avo, mustard, sesame seeds, salt & peppa) are off to the side
Once fries and ground turkey are perfectly browned, place over bed of arugula & top with all of your fav toppings
